Fall RC projects, planes, and updates

Well, it has been a little while since I have posted...things have been really busy professionally and personally.  However, I am really getting excited about the cooler whether and beautiful fall days that are now here.  This is probably my favorite time of year to get out and about to fly.  I have several planes and projects that I am going to be tackling very soon over the next couple of weeks.

Project 1 - I am trying to tweak even more speed out of my "Monster Hawk" modified Hawk Sky.  I am going to push the envelope a bit more with this motor and plane and hook up a 5 cell to hopefully break 120 MPH as my best run to date is around 111 MPH.  I did have a 116 MPH run with a tailwind but I am not counting that as I am trying to get true flat out speed runs with this plane.

I have also been working on my 3D flying and this is a type of flying that has been so enjoyable to get into and really has pushed my piloting skills to the next level.  I am by no means a pro 3d pilot, but I have definitely came up a few notches with my flight skills due to trying to perfect some of these maneuvers.  I was excited recently with the announcement of the Extreme 3D EPO mode from Hobby King which was announced on a recent HobbyKing Daily video.  You can find the model here:  https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__64445__Extreme_3D_EPO_Aerobatic_Model_1100mm_PNF_.html

This looks like a great affordable 3D plane and it looks great to boot!  Hopefully, I will be able to get my hands on one of these soon and let you know what I think and have flight footage as well.  Comment down below if you have your sights set on this plane as well, I would like to know what you guys think about it.

Also, after quite a while with my trusty Deans connectors, I am about to undertake a project to change out all my batteries and LiPos over to XT60's.  Hobbyking is my main vendor for batteries and aircraft lately, so since they are mainly XT centric, I have decided to switch over.  XT60's are much easier to solder as well and that will be less of a headache.

Well, there is my fall update for now.  I will get some pics up for you guys on some of the projects I mentioned above.  Hopefully there will be more stuff coming down the pipes that I will keep you all posted on as well!
