My messy workbench above
Workbench and what you may want to have:
As you can see above, my workbench is a bit messy, however, it is functional for me. For the most part all of the tools I need to have are basically quick and easy to access. There is a relatively short list of things I think anyone getting into the RC hobby needs to have to be successful:
- Soldering Iron, solder, flux - I'm using the Hakko FX-888
- Helping hands
- Hot Glue gun, glue stix - I am using a cheap Adtech from Walmart
- Cordless Drill, bits of varying sizes - Black & Decker from Walmart
- Extra Battery connectors - XT60's, Deans, etc
- Tape - Duct, packing, strapping, electrical
- Shrink wrap
- Heat gun or lighter
- Screws of varying sizes
- Organizer for screws and other loose parts
- Battery charger(s), parallel boards, balance boards, etc
- Lighting over your bench
- Extra props, shafts, collets, etc
- Carbon rods of varying sizes, lengths
- Music wire
- Wire cutters
- Cutting board
- Foam
- Internet access close
