CSRC-RX3000e Spektrum DSM2 6-Ch Receiver Review

A couple of weeks ago, I saw on Common Sense RC's website the DSM2 compatible Spektrum Receivers listed for purchase.  These are advertised as full 6-Ch Spektrum compatible receivers that are comparable to Spektrum's own AR6100e and AR6100.  The only difference in the two being the connectors connecting from the back or the top.

The bind procedure for the transmitter is very straight forward and what you would expect from a typical bind procedure with any Spektrum receiver/transmitter.  A bind plug is provided and with the DX8 it linked up with the receiver in seconds and all was good.

Currently, I have probably an hour of flight time on the CSRC-RX3000e and haven't had any issues whatsoever with dropouts or fades, etc.  I have been using this receiver in my modified Hawk Sky that I call the Mach Hawk with the microjet motor and it has been working flawlessly.  Recently, I have also been powering my newly installed GT Power RC light kit from this receiver as well and it works great.

Specifications:

  • Weight: 4.4g
  • Antenna Length: 29mm
  • Dimensions: 38 x 19 x 7mm
